Please check out my Voodoo Fest 2008 portrait gallery at the above URL and enjoy portraits taken at last years Voodoo Fest.

We had a custom backdrop designed by John Sherman at Flavor Paper (http://www.flavorleague.com/), and assembled 4 wooden panels, 4’x8′ in a large
“V” formation, and draped a sheet over the top for some diffused light. Ben Jaffe and Laura Tennyson of Preservation Hall (www.preservationhall.com), with my assistant Tamara Grayson (http://tamaragraysonphotography.blogspot.com/) – helped coordinate the location/installation of the backdrop (right behind the Preservation Hall Tent) and got musicians and artists to schedule their shoot.

Over 3 days last October, we cranked out roll after roll of film. Even shooting with an old 4×5 view camera donated by The New Orleans Photo Alliance (neworleansphotoalliance.blogspot.com), and a lens by the gracious, and talented Sam Portera (http://samuelportera.com/). It was a long weekend, and it couldnt’ have been done w/ out the help of Stephen Rehage (http://thevoodooexperience.com/2009/) (for the sweet spot!), Libra Legrone, Ben, Michelle Elmore (for the lips), 3 Ring Circus (for the hang), and to all the musicians that posed and hung out at the V.

All of these images are up on the smugmug site for your enjoyment…if you are an artist that i shot and have not recieved your images, please get in touch w/ me.
