"I Was So Impressed With Zack's Innate Ability To Teach In A Style That Worked For Me. He Explained Camera Functions In Analogies That Made Perfect Sense To Me. I Had Several One On One Courses With Zack And It Has Taken My Photography To A Whole New Level! "- Carol Bailey, Digital 101 Workshop Participant
This 8 part photography workshop will teach you the basics of your DSLR or mirrorless digital camera as well as the buttons, functions, and features used to get the most out of your photography. We will teach you all about Resolution, ISO, Exposure, White Balance, Focus, Metering, and how to set them properly. We will also spend time learning the fundamentals of photography, such as Focal Length, Aperture, Shutter Speed, and Composition, using Zack Smith’s colorful and intuitive slide presentations and engaging lecture topics!
Photography will always be about how we visually perceive and present our world in our own creative manner, but also how we edit, present, and manage our workflow in the digital age. We will learn about Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and how to manage our photography and edit for web and print. We will discuss Wi-Fi cameras operation, remote DSLR/Mirrorless operation, tethered capture, and much much more!
When you take a Zack Smith Photography Workshop you will have access to our private Facebook Photo Group and be ready to begin your photographic journey with confidence knowing there is a growing creative community just waiting to help you on your way!
This will be an active shooting course, so be prepared to shoot every class! I feel that we learn best by doing so let's get after it!
Any photographer seeking to advance their knowledge of their Digital SLR or mirrorless camera.
I have had people come to class the first day with their camera still in the box..sitting next to the semi-pro. At the end of the workshop we all left feeling we learned something from each other, ourselves, and our cameras.

"I was fortunate to have a one on one session with Zack in the early stages of a portrait project I was working on. His insight and critique was great and much needed to help realize the vision I had in my head. The points he made were right on track and helped me correct a few key points I needed to work on before it was too late. It was great to partner with Zack and his professional expertise, I would highly recommend a session." - Eric Nunez
"Zack is both a highly skilled and talented photographer and an excellent teacher. His teaching approach is thoughtful and organized, and his delivery is clear and enthusiastic. I appreciate that he is quick to understand and address my needs as a photography student. Zack is also helpful and encouraging in his comments" Diane Danthony, photographer and recent One on One Photography Training Participant.
"Zack is a great teacher with alot of knowledge and patience to answer anything you might throw at him. I gained knowledge about what it really entails to become a professional photographer. I learned everything from working with clients, setting up a website, even the importance of consistent edits and building your own brand and style" - Brent Asay
